Designer Spotlight: Jeanne Nicole McCollister, 25, from Baton Rouge, LA., has always had a passion for many forms of art. She spent years developing her artistic talents with hobbies such as painting, designing, drawing, and writing. But Jeanne always had a deep passion for fashion design, particularly jewelry design. She lived challenging herself to create distinctive jewelry to fit her friends various personalities. Dozens of unique costume jewelry items later, her closest friends had so much confidence in her work they encouraged her to chase her dream and pursue her passion for design.

Jeanne came up with the idea to create custom-design jewelry to fit different personalities. She began selling to retailers, local business employees, and local residents at home jewelry shows, and even had the opportunity to create all the accessories for a style show that was open to the Baton Rouge community.

Jeanne finds her career as a designer to be so awe-inspiring because she loves taking her imagination to so many different extremes. She loves challenging her inventive imagination to create pieces that draw out bold, different, and daring personalities, but also designs that attract the more moderate, simple, yet elegant consumers. Above all, her desire is to make her customers feel special and matchless when they wear her items.
