Just b. jewelry’s head designer, Bernadette Kettwig, is a native Chicagoan creating designs that follow the latest trends with a hint of timelessness. “I love to create what’s in the “now” knowing that it will crossover into other seasons,” says the talented designer. Almost all of her designs are one-of-a-kind because she works primarily with natural semi-precious stones and Old World German vintage glass, making each piece unique. Bernadette loves the fact that she can help her clients express their own unique styles through designs that capture the latest “in”, with a subtle elegance and flair. What started off as a hobby has surely grown into a successful jewelry design business driven by creativity and a great knowledge of business. Just b. jewelry is sold at Salon Blonde, 1643 W. When people on the street see my jewelry they sometimes…ask me where I got it; ask me if they can try it on; mention how they love the look and feel of the natural stones and uniqueness of the vintage glass accents.

I’m inspired by...other people’s enthusiasm and energy; new stones I have never worked with or seen before; the latest trends in style.

My next move is…to establish an on-line business for just b. jewelry.
My future plan is to…pursue even more business avenues for my designs, such as, additional boutiques and one or two larger retailers; have a couple of children; design jewelry full-time.
