on… Her Clothes
People always say “cutting edge”. I like to
describe my clothes as complicated, sharp, but calm and deep. I
wish people could feel that my design is profound, not just trendy
or fashionable.
Design Philosophy
Actually I don’t really care about Fashion. What’s in?
What’s out? What’s the color for next season? They never
bother me. I enjoy being a designer because clothes are a place
where I express my thinking. It’s my language. I’m a
quiet person most of the time. I don’t like to talk, but I
like to use my designs to communicate with people.
Inspirations
I like to design clothes that combine with something else, like
Picasso’s Sculpture, Architecture or Japanese Kendo. Concept
is always the primary. It’s the first aspect that comes to
my mind before I begin to design. After, I start to sketch and look
for materials. The idea must interest and challenge me.
