The minute I opened my slick coveted black lacquer invitation, I knew this event would be something special. And, that it was. VIP’s arrived in style to the opening of YSL, strolling up a jet black carpet and greeted by two stunning models dressed in black with Yves St. Laurent overcoats and glasses. Whisked through the front doors, guests were greeted by Mark Lee, president and CEO from Paris, while rows of waiters in YSL tuxedos presented guests with exotic drinks, including the favored lycee martinis and champagne. It felt as though celebrity Chef Wolfgang Puck was there, well, at least his decadent hors d’oeuvres were, which were passed on square black lacquer trays throughout the evening.

And, let’s not forget about the fashion. Beautiful female models sashayed through the crowd displaying four different looks, for day and night, including the gown Nicole Kidman wore to the Oscars. We wished the night would never end…
