Over 700 guests mingled about the new location of Equinox Fitness’ new Gold Coast location at 900 N. Michigan Ave. At the Equinox opening fete guests enjoyed perusing the state-of-the-art equipment, mini massages, libations, hors d’oevres, music and entertainment.

The Equinox party featured music by Chicago DJ legend Jesse De La Peña, renowned for his j ungle, afro beats, trip hop, rock, Brazilian bass and funky Latin beats; sensuous lyra aerialists and hand balancers performing feats of athleticism from the acclaimed Actors Gymnasium; shape shifting fabric sculpture performance art; and a performance from the three-time Emmy award-winning children’s dance troupe, The Happiness Club. Astounding acts of advanced yoga were performed continuously and guests were treated to Swedish neck and shoulder massages throughout the evening. The main fitness room was transformed into an art gallery that displayed the entire Equinox photography collection shot by famous fashion photographer Steven Klein.
