CHRISTOPHE EMÉ OF LOS ANGELES’S ORTOLAN BRINGS HIS REFINED FRENCH CUISINE TO SAN DIEGO ’S RANCHO BERNARDO INN
WHAT: Chef Christophe Emé, of the esteemed Los Angeles restaurant Ortolan, will be traveling to San Diego to present a feast for the senses at the Rancho Bernardo Inn’s El Bizcocho restaurant. For his six-course dinner Chef Emé, named one of Food & Wine’s 10 Best New Chefs in 2005, will be serving dishes such as Crispy Langoustine with Truffles, Roast Scallop with Bacon, and Lamb Pastilla with Baby Fennel—all paired with a selection of fine French wines (see attached menu).In honor of this special event, the Rancho Bernardo Inn is also offering a two-night “Spring Duet” package for those who want to experience world-class cuisine in a spectacular setting (see below for details).

PACKAGE : The Spring Duet package starts at $1,000 and includes:

ORTOLAN: Since opening in February 2005, Ortolan restaurant and its chef Christophe Emé have received numerous accolades, with Ortolan being selected by John Mariani as one of Esquire’s Best New Restaurants for 2005. Chef Christophe Emé will also appear on Iron Chef America airing on June 18, 2006. Located on West 3 rd Street in Los Angeles, Ortolan features a lovely interior with five separate themes, ranging from an antique wine cellar to an opulent dining room reminiscent of Versailles. Changing frequently to accommodate the seasons, Emé’s menu combines impeccable French technique with a sense of fun.
