Melissa Maynard began her career as the Senior Writer for Dynamic Magazine, a bilingual monthly lifestyle publication. Maynard wrote feature stories on fashion, beauty, art, culture, travel, dining, nightlife and gadgets. Previously she was Associate Editor for emakeupmall.com, Photojournalist for Electric, Ltd., a British based guidebook focused on fashion. Currently she is the Editor-In-Chief for Factio Magazine, in charge of all aspects of editorial direction.

Maynard also has Public Relations and Marketing experience, as she previously did marketing work for NBC 5 Fashion Editor Barbara Glass.

Melissa Maynard graduated with honors from the Illinois Institute of Art with a Bachelors of Arts in Fashion Marketing/Management. She also has a love for languages and other cultures. Maynard studied French throughout high school, college and beyond and took up intensive French studies at the Université Laval, en Quebec, Canada. Maynard is currently keeping up with French and studying Spanish.
Awards: 1st place for dress designed out of milk caps for a recycling fashion show at Delta College. Featured on www.fashionwindows.com, People section of the Flint Journal and The Bay City Times.
