A Focus on Performance Art

On April 9th, The Museum of Contemporary Art celebrated their performance gala with over 250 guests featuring Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company in Chicago. Guests enjoyed a pre-performance cocktail hour at 6 p.m., followed by a truly visual performance by the dance company. Guests then dined among the dancers with a lavish dinner buffet of roasted wild salmon with orange and pickled onion relish; free range chicken with wild mushroom duxelle and a light cognac crème; wild and basmati rice accented with pine nuts and herbs by J&L Catering. The MCA’s atriums were transformed with a dining setting unparalled with geometric shapes and popping colors of orange hues inspired by the performance.

Over $130,000 was raised, which directly supports the Museum of Contemporary Art’s performance programming. For more information about the MCA, please visit www.mcachicago.org.
