How to Get the Look From Vera Wang’s Spring/Summer 2013 Runway Show

Vera Wang’s Spring/Summer looks were the perfect palette for hair stylist Paul Hanlon, lead stylist from Frederic Fekkai. Hanlon designed a textured, turban inspired up-do for the models. Here is how the weathered look was created:

Prep hair using Fekkai Strong Hold Volume Mousse throughout. Dry hair completely and brush out.

Start with the back of the head, taking a section of hair and backcombing it from roots to ends. Then, spray with Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray.

Next, run a straitening iron through and brush it.

Flip hair forward, brush from the nape of your neck to the ends and split into two sections.

Continue by crossing the two sections of hair over each other at the front of the head.

Now with your head upright, pin down hair as you wrap.  The pins can be placed to give the style a raw look.

Finish the look by pulling a few strands out towards the back and spray thoroughly with Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray.
