Hermés Launches Fine Jewelry

Hermés has launched a new jewelry endeavor consisting of 14 bold items relating to horses.

For example, several pieces are inspired by the hoofs of a horse, and another piece is shaped like a whip. All of the jewelry will be placed in custom-made black alligator leather boxes. The collection was designed by Pierre Hardy who said, “I simply went back to its roots and to the horse’s hoof, taking the roughest, strongest, almost radical element and giving it the most feminine, the most modern interpretation.” Prices range from $23,675 to $880,000. Hermés will embark on a world tour to take orders that will take five to seven months to create. The jewelry will be shown in the windows of the Paris flagship store at Christmas before beginning the tour.
