Derek Lam Spring 2010 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York

Derek Lam is known for his elegance and sophistication, but for his Spring 2010 collection – the designer decided to have some out of the box fun.

The high level of luxury was still there; the colors and prints were just very playful, beachy almost. Greens, blues, purples, gold, floral prints, star patterns – all of these could be found in the same collection in different variations. Instead of the well-known gown finale, Lam’s ending of the show consisted of all in ones and we’re still wondering how to wear those in a flattering way. The work attire of blouses on the other hand, we’ll wear any day!
