Chicago Fashion Week Unveiled

At the end of September it was fall fashion week in Chicagoand. If you thought about passing by the Midwest before -think again. Fashion week was in full swing all around town.

The massive tent at block 37, directly across from Marshall Field’s State Street store hosted fashionable events, fashion shows and designer appearances all week long – from the 17th-25th.

Fashionistas flocked to the tents across from Marshall Field’s - both day and night to view the top collections of designers like Michael Kors (Sept. 21st), John Varvatos (Sept. 23rd), Kelly Gray (23rd) and Gene Meyer (24th); where they enjoyed world-class fashion shows, in-store shopping parties and charity benefits.

Other shows included, The Gold Coast Fashion Awards, which showcased incredible talents and has a new winner of the coveted award.

Chicago…My Kind of Town presented by Rush University Medical Center had incredible designer collections like Prada, YSL, Luca Luca and more and incredible people (ie, interior designer extraordinaire Nate Berkus, actress Joan Cusack and our very own Anna Davlantes of NBC 5 and many more).

And, if we weren’t already tired from all the fashion-flambouncy, we kept the excitement to party like rock-stars by night, covering the several shows that were held all over the city at upscale night spots including, Butterfield 8, Sugar, Le Passage and even the Museum of Science and Industry had shows. Some of the designers included Custo Barcelona, Von Dutch, RocaWear, Baby Phat and even the mini-moguls Mary Kate and Ashley
