Carolina Herrera Spring 2010 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York
This spring, Carolina Herrera has taken the meaning of manipulating fabric to an entirely new level. In terms of fabric technique, you name it, this collection’s got it—everything from twisted, to puckered to beaded was a huge part of this spring’s line.
Inspired by Japanese blackest, Herrera included warm tones such as, amber, silver and caramel, throughout the collection. The sportswear looks have been praised by Women’s Wear Daily saying she had the most success with “a two-tone raffia jacket with a thick braided collar with an embroidered skirt and an iridescent coppery satin shirt tucked into tweedy side-tied pants.”
