2012 Accessories Trends

New York Fashion Week has come to an end giving us time to examine the accent pieces that added an extra oomph to every ensemble that hit the catwalk this season.

Sunglasses and hats were seen quite often on the models of New York Fashion Week Spring 2012, but there's no ifs, ands, or buts about it- the clutch ruled the runway. Normally a small sized handbag, the clutch was seen in every shape, size and shade, from blockish squares to extensive envelopes and vibrant hues to artsy prints. Another big dog this New York Fashion Week was the bold belt. It was seen cinching in even the tiniest of waists. Diane Von Furstenberg and Alexander Wang threw an oldie but goodie accessory into their collections too, the old-school backpack.
