Gucci Spring /Summer 2012

The roaring Twenties made a come back for Gucci Spring / Summer 2012, and no one does glossy better than the house of Gucci.

Sculptural glamour dominated the runway with each piece paying tribute to the opulence of the era of hedonism. Perfect up dos and intense smoky eyes complimented the theme of black, white and gold in a variety of animal prints and equestrian references. Noteworthy were the collarless cropped and gold-on-black embellished jackets that created a strong sense of personality for the collection. A plethora of glittering fringed drop waist gold and black cocktail dresses with Art Deco-inspired beading rounded up what has to be one of Frida Giannini’s strongest collections to date. -Natalie Kuan
