Michael Jackson's Thriller Jacket Sells at Auction
You won't believe what it sold for!
Michael Jackson's famous red and black leather jacket from the 1983 Thriller music video was purchased this weekend for a pretty hefty price. It definitely left a dent in somebody's wallet and that somebody was Milton Verret. The autographed jacket went for almost 10 times more than originally estimated. The filthy rich winning bidder took home one of the most identifiable costumes from a music video for a massive $1.8 million. In the spirit of the late King of Pop, the lucky winner, a commodities trader and philanthropist hailing from Texas, plans to send the piece of MJ memorabilia on tour to raise money for children's charities. The sale came on the 2nd year anniversary of Jackson's death on June 25th, 2009. For more fashion news, click here.
