The Nutcracker Family Dinner

On Saturday December 11^th, The Palmer House Hilton Hotel in Chicago played host to the Joffrey Ballet’s Nutcracker Family Dinner. The event featured a traditional family-style meal and an enchanting performance of Robert Joffrey’s The Nutcracker. Co-Chairs, Suzette Bross Bulley and Odele Desmuke Hawkins both created an evening full of family fun with an environmentally friendly focus. “Green” décor included a 12ft. recycled water bottle tree, recycled Birch trees, no cut flowers, locally sourced poultry and vegetable products and other “green” features specific to the Palmer House Hilton. Creation stations (complete with festive crafts like popcorn stringing), cocktails and entertainment kept the event lively and fun for families. The Nutcracker Family Dinner was a success, keeping things festive and raising nearly $150,000 for the Joffrey Ballet.
