Chicago Fashion Incubator Launches Pop-Up Store at 900 Shops
Chicago fashion lovers came out to the 900 Shops to celebrate the launch of The Chicago Fashion Incubator (CFI) 2010 and to support local designers. Svedka sponsored the event bar, while Frankie’s 5th Floor Pizzeria provided Italian bites that guests snacked on while checking out the designers’ collections. Set up on the 5th floor of the 900 Shops on Michigan Avenue, CFI consists of 2 spaces, one for retail and one for events, which act as a pop-up shop to showcase six Chicago designers’ collections throughout the next month. From March 18th to April 18th, the shop will open at 10 a.m. and close a 7 p.m. on Thursdays-Saturdays, and from 12 p.m.-6 p.m. on Sundays. The 2010 chosen designers are Christina Fan, Donaldo Smith, Jonnie Rettele, Leah Fagan, Miriam Cecilia Carlson, and Stephanie Kuhr. The schedule of events is as follows:

Saturday, 20th, 12pm-6pm - Cynthia Ryba Trunk Show
Saturday, 20th, 12pm-8pm – 2010 New Designer Trunk Show
Sunday, 21st, 12pm-2pm – Afternoon Tea Showcasing Audey’s Fall 2010 Collection
Friday, 26th, 8pm-11pm - Anna Hovet Fashion Show
Saturday, 27th, 10am-7pm – Zamrie Spring 2010 Trunk Show
