Couture & Cocktails

On Friday, September 24th, the Women’s Board of the Joffrey Ballet hosted its fifth annual Couture & Cocktails event at the W City Center. Marci Holzer and Kristina McGrath (co-chairs) created a successful rendezvous with the presentation of Carmen Marc Valvo’s international designs in an intimate fashion show, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction and lots of dancing. Guests were even able to mingle with dancers from Joffrey Ballet’s 2010-2011 season! It’s no surprise that the elite of Chicago attended this event with an ultra exclusive reception for VIP only (these tickets were $500-$10,000) where they socialized with the designer himself. All attendees, however, were welcomed later to join in on the fun. The W City Center’s allure of sexy-sophistication matched the posh character of Couture & Cocktails.
