Bring beauty, class, and glamour into 2010 at Sofia Vintage. The chic second-hand shop hosted a media friendly affair recently with vintage fashion tips, stylish people watching and flowing cocktails. Select invitees received “Live Lovely” VIP Cards and personal styling tips from Ashley Zisook and Lindsey Madigan. Complimentary cocktails were served among stylish party-goers inside the stylish boutique decorated wall-to-wall with pictures nostalgic of decades past.
After a quick interview with owner Ashley Zisook we discovered that Sofia Vintage was named after Academy Award winning actress Sophia Loren, and that the shop’s purpose was inspired from hosting yard sales in Los Angeles. Ashley now co-owns the boutique with her sister Allison and travels all over the country to hand-select the store’s unique merchandise. The sisters have turned the shop’s rented office space into a homey shop that feels like your best friend’s closet (they even take a Polaroid for the shop’s wall if you try clothes on).
As for what’s next for Sofia Vintage, Ashley has informed us that the shop will be receiving full lines this coming February 2010. Don’t think twice about dropping by Sofia Vintage – open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10a.m. to 7p.m. and by appointment.
