The Nip Tuck Workout
By Lauren Tumas

Do the disturbingly perfect figures on FX’s Nip/Tuck make you contemplate selling your car to reduce a little sagging? Or maybe you find yourself using the attractive Dr. Robert Rey to justify your obsession with the E network’s Dr. 90210? After going through every song on your I pod’s work out play-list, an easy out doesn’t sound so far fetched, does it? Would an unlimited trust fund buy you few touch-ups or a personal trainer? Certified personal fitness trainer and recently retired plastic surgeon of 28 years, Dr. Bruce Nadler found the answer to prayers everywhere with his new book, The Nip Tuck Workout: Exercise Through the Eyes of a Plastic Surgeon. “Having been a plastic surgeon, I learned that my job was to make sure everything on the body was proportionate and symmetrical. Since retiring last August I thought about a way to achieve those same results through exercise and developed the Nip tuck workout,” Nadler said.

The goal of equal symmetry and proportions takes the focus off of strength. This flexible program allows people to reach their desired appearance goals, whether it is toned, defined or muscular. Scalpels and lasers are replaced with resistance exercises on an average of three times a week to reshape the body. “I don’t believe in using machines, they are like stencils because they force the body in to unnatural motions. I use dumbbells and cables to create desired results,” he said. According to Nadler, major worries for women consist of becoming overly masculine or thinking results will take months to see. But he reassures that staying muscular takes a lot of work, and cutting back a little is always possible. Online programs are available by signing up on his website www.mdfitness pts.com .

By sending pictures and giving information, Dr. Nadler can form a fitness plan for your specific needs and send videotapes explaining each step for you to follow.

Unlike some dieticians that sit chugging coke and munching on Twinkies after you turn your back, Dr. Nadler was a competitive body builder that won titles in Master’s Level competitions, so he knows how to obtain the perfect physique. Now you can train like Dr. Nadler’s celebrity clients like last year’s America’s Next Top Model runner-up and New York’s hottest club DJ Donna C’Cruz.

His new book, “Nip Tuck Workout,” is available on Amazon.com for $15.95- and you don’t need a trust fund to have that!
