Are You Model Material? Find out as you shop at Water Tower Place....

Chicago: At Water Tower Place, 835 N. Michigan Avenue: On Wednesday, November 3 on the 3rd floor of Water Tower Place, local shoppers are invited to audition for a modeling spot in The Water Tower Place Cool Yule Reality Fashion Show.

Selected shoppers will be the featured models in a holiday show of fashions Sunday, November 14 at 3 PM in Water Tower Place, 3rd floor to benefit Chicago Tribune Holiday Giving, a campaign of Chicago Tribune Charities, a McCormick Tribune Foundation Fund supporting Child and Family Development, Hunger Relief and Reading and Literacy.

The Cool Yule Reality Fashion Show model auditions will be held from 3 – 7 pm at Water Tower Place, 3rd floor on Wednesday, November 3. Interested shoppers may pick up applications at customer service located on the ground floor of Water Tower Place at both entrances to the building or on the 3rd floor at the audition. Applicants are encouraged to visit several stores to look at the clothes and think about the fashions they would like to model. Participating stores include: Custo Barcelona, Eileen Fisher, French Connection, Jacadi, J.Jill, Lacoste, Banana Republic and Rampage.

Model candidates will meet an impressive panel of judges for the tryouts including representatives from Vidal Sassoon, Ford modeling agency and Fashion Group International of Chicago. The process will be short, as the application requires only basic information to allow for clothing selection and fitting as well as a short question to answer what puts them in the holiday spirit. Judging will be on smile, personality, and style, as well as how the applicant answers the question.

“We’ve built this remarkable shopping center for the local residents by carefully selecting a retail mix that serves this community,” said Mitchell Feldman, Vice President/General Manager Water Tower Place. “It’s all about the stores catering to our local clientele by providing the product mix, services and excitement this vibrant Michigan Avenue area demands. In reality, it’s all about our neighbors and that’s why we decided to feature local shoppers in our holiday fashion show.”

“In looking for real people, we want real reasons as to what puts them in the holiday spirit,” said Feldman. “A sense of style and a great personality are huge assets as well.”

Selected applicants will be notified by November 5 to participate in the show and return to Water Tower Place for a fitting prior to November 14.
