Go from Frumpy to Foxy in 15 Minutes Flat...
Style Advice for Every Woman by Elycia Rubin & Rita Mauceri

Fair Winds Press is proud to announce Frumpy to Foxy in 15 Minutes Flat (Fair Winds Press, April, 2005) a style manual by writers Elycia Rubin and Rita Mauceri with an introduction by Steven Cojocaru.

These days, life often feels like one big scramble – we force ourselves out of bed, rush to work, dash to after-work activities, and cram weekends full of workouts, errands, movies, dinner dates, family outings, and endless other things. It’s a struggle to keep ourselves looking half-way pulled together, much less foxy.  And sometimes it’s just easier to succumb to the frumps… you know, those inevitable frizzy hair days, blotchy skin days, big & bloated days, or schlumpy sweats & slippers days. Getting dressed should be fun, but day after day it starts to feel like a chore and a bit of a bore. We want to look foxy, but we don’t have the time to put it together. Sometimes it’s easier to just give up. Some days we wish there was a phone booth we could run into, count to ten, and come out totally transformed … but, alas, that only happens in the movies.

In real life, there are no phone booths, no fairy godmothers, and no 24-hour swat team of Hollywood specialists to help us look our best. After much fine-tuning, we came up with a Foxy Formula. The result is Frumpy To Foxy In 15 Minutes Flat ,a handbook to suit every occasion of our daily lives. Sure, there may be times when we don’t have the drive to get foxified … or wonder what’s the point of looking foxy when you’re just hanging at home. But if it were really easy… wouldn’t you want to look foxy all the time? Now how could you resist!  So whether you’re dining out or lounging in, do it with a foxy spin. Foxy may sound like something it takes years, beaucoup bucks, or a jackpot gene pool to achieve… but regardless of our shapely size, or the size of our pocketbook, all it takes is a few tried and true tricks to bring out our inner fox.

If you think foxy is those va-va-voom girls you see in men’s magazines, think again. You are foxy – and even if you don’t look it now, we’ll show you how. The sweet little secret is: foxiness doesn’t have to take a lot of time, effort, or money. If you know the right shortcuts, it takes just 15 minutes.
