Related's Bubble-Rama

When Related Midwest was set to premiere the short film “Bubble-Rama” at their opening event for their residential project, something seemed a little fishy. They wanted to make the event a beneficiary one and chose the John G. Shedd Aquarium as their recipient. A perfect match-since the star of the comedic film was a large koi fish. The film starred Annie Parisse (How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days) and Ed Kerr (Men In Trees), while the complete rest of the crew and cast was Chicago based, including screenwriters Rick Shaughnessy and Jeff Walker and award winning author Elizabeth Crane, who’s short story inspired the tale. The film also featured locals such as journalist Bill Kurtis and WCKG Radio Chicago’s Susanna Homan in brief cameos. The event took place at another famous Chicago museum- The Museum of Contemporary Art on September 24th, and included the showing of the 30-minute video as well as an after party on the museum’s terrace. The Related Midwest had much to celebrate at this event, not only have they been successfully in business since 1988, but the premiere of their new complex, The Peshtigo had a lot to offer to the world of real estate. Built as a “sustainable development”- the 57-story building located at 515 North Peshtigo Court, features modern luxuries that are all environmentally friendly. Their designs will cut down resources and energy and even include a green cleaning program that provides residents with environment-smart cleaning products. Appropriately, Related Midwest made a donation to programming of The Auxiliary Society of the John G. Shedd Aquarium which not only works to increase public awareness of the environmental issues in respect to aquatic life, but the aquarium also calls The Peshtigo a neighbor. It was one tail of a time!
