Susan Maxwell is famous for taking looks from the runway and translating them to your hallway. Her Chicago based interior design company, Suz Maxwell, is constantly looking to the trends of fashion to decorate the homes of clients, so it’s no wonder the successful company hosted a private pre-party for some VIP guests before Gen Art’s Fresh Faces event as a part of Fashion Focus. A perfect kick off to the week of style, guests enjoyed Lemongrass Snow Queen vodka cocktails and hors d’oeuvres by Le Colonial as they took in the city from a rooftop view. Maxwell said she “enjoyed celebrating all of the incredible design talent” of the Gen Art show with her nearest and dearest. The
pre-party event, appropriately titled “Cocktails and Couture,” also came with a fabulous goody bag featuring items from Bliss, Rosebud Salve, NARS and Kiehls. Then the guests were brought to the tents at Millennium Park for the big fashion event by way of a Windy City Trolley, which also brought them to the James Hotel for an after party.
