The 86Collective's Opening Night Party with Amy Sedaris

It was a packed house last Thursday night as actor and comedian, Amy Sedaris, combined with Rubi Rey cocktails, celebrated the opening of the newest exhibit: echo.

Presented by M5 and the86collective, echo showcases the most extreme examples of work being produced in all fields of new media. The exhibit hopes to show the "interpretations of the hyper-reflective relationship between technology and reality".

Even the sweltering heat didn't stop people from coming throughout the evening including a former America's Next Top Model contestant, Heather Kuzmich and Project Runway's Steven Rosengard and many other Chicago elites who were all dressed to kill, some even in their own designs!

The private party took place on Fulton Market Street and there was a buzz of excitement in the air as the guests arrived hoping to meet Sedaris, who has lived in Chicago during her stint at Second City. Wearing a dress designed by one of her friend's that proclaimed "I like rum," Sedaris walked around, posed for photos, met guests, and kept the energy up throughout the evening.

The space itself was open, with the art on screens and walls, which gave plenty of room for people to walk around, socialize, and drink their Rubi Rey cocktails (Factio favorites being the Del Sol and the Stingray) while still being able to take in all the artwork and, of cours, Sedaris.

It was definitely a night where art and fashion collided, making for an unforgettable event.
