Redmoon's Spectacle Lunatique

Over the Redmoon
On March 7th, over 700 revelers enjoyed Redmoon’s Spectacle Lunatique, celebrating a unique Chicago theater that creates, what
else, amazing spectacles. It began as we entered the raw entrance
hall where we encountered stacked pizza boxes, stray balloons hanging from the ceiling and men cleaning and shouting, only to enter the real fantastical fantasy of what Redmoon is all about. On the way to the second floor, serenading music and rose petals floated through the air as we entered the magical wonderland of ingenious Redmoon delights. In the transformed space, we came upon a woman submerged in a purple cabbage bath. Next, we entered a miniture room encompassing 14 chandeliers where guests were offered hors d’oeuvres from a briefcase server and a napkin from a woman in a dress, that at first glance appeared to be couture, but was actually napkins! The spectacle didn’t end there. Guests could get interactive with Redmoon actors as they could take part in portrait-esque photos, watch butterfly scientists at work and enjoy the lumpy princesses as they made their way dancing throughout the crowd. The fête had us experiencing magic for one night, and on this night, $200,000 was raised for a theater that makes ordinary objects extraordinary. And that is the wonder of Redmoon.
