À Pied
Roscoe Village is no longer shoeless, thanks to Trudy Robinson Foley’s latest boutique, À Pied (she also owns Kickin’). Everything in the store embodies the owner’s love for all things European, from the store’s décor of Persian rugs, wooden ladders and antique embellishments to the name, which is French for “on foot.”À Pied’s carefully built selection stays loyal to the idea of fashionable heels sans foot pain. Look for soles by Taryn Rose, whose Taryn by Taryn Rose line presents the signature comfortable creations, except at lower prices. The rare finds by Spanish line Hispanitas and Canadian favorites La Canadienne and Modern Vintage also add to the diverse and fashion-forward collection. But the most interesting pick has to be the fish skin flats by All Flat, which alone are worth the trip to Roscoe Village.
