Akira's Star Studded Fête

Akira, Chicago’s fastest growing and distinct boutique, celebrated its 5 year anniversary. The Stuido-54 themed party complete with female impersonators, professional dancers, and live music created an exciting block-party environment on Bucktown’s North Avenue.

Guests including Akira customers, friends, employees, and Chicagoans in the know trounced up and down the street stopping in all four Akira locations; the women’s flagship store, women’s shoe store, details store, and men’s flagship store; noshing not only on delectable hors d’oeuvres and desserts from ZK Food and Rockit Bar & Grill, but popcorn and cotton candy too! And as if a 20% discount on the retailer’s trendy apparel, accessories, and footwear wasn’t enough, partygoers making purchases were sent home with posh gift bags stuffed with Puma Pouches, CDs and Cards from Ben Sherman, bangles, and gift certificates to the hottest bars, restaurants, and clubs in the city.
