After attempting multiple business ventures into the eco-conscious world, owners Michael Roberts and Jean Taylor decided to jump into retail. And true to their mantra, they’re reusing as much of the old design and equipment as possible, which is why their new boutique has many remnants of the location’s previous tenants – a lingerie store. As for product, don’t expect the merchandise to be limited to canvas bags or hemp clothing. Grasshopper 510 takes its eco-friendly philosophy to another level, using practically every recycled, repurposed, organic material available – think jewelry made from seaglass, books on recycled paper, organic cotton toys.
