Roslyn's Midsummer Night Dream

On July 25, Bucktown boutique Roslyn showed the Near North neighborhood not only a thing or two about style, but how to throw an elegant fête as well... The ever stylish store hosted “Roslyn’s Midsummer’s Night Dream,” an event featuring designs from Chicago-based designer, Elise Bergman at Citizen Bar (364 W. Erie).

Chicagoans in the know flocked to the scene donned in their midsummer’s best; short summer dresses for the gals and designer oxfords for the guys. Sipping on complimentary cocktails and enjoying the night air on Citizen Bar’s roof-top deck, event-goers took in not just a great view, but spectacular new styles from highlighted designer, Bergman. Models perched atop Athenian-esque pedestals posed for the fashionable crowd in stunning summer gowns. Adorned with minimal sequence, cinched waists, and other simple, yet eye catching details, the styles were simply goddess-esque, but the model’s metallic flip-flops kept the designs down to earth.

Bergman is just one of several emerging and established designers featured at Roslyn. The exclusive boutique (at 2035 N. Damen) offers women’s and men’s apparel, as well as accessories and footwear from designers such as Christina Hatler, Vera Wang, Alric Suba, and many more. Carrying only four pieces of each style, Roslyn ensures shoppers are as distinctive as the designers themselves.
