Girl’s "Enchanted" Night Out at the Movies
On November 19th, 250 of Chicago’s elite hit the town for a movie showing as part of “Girl’s Night Out at the Movies,” a monthly event started by former Illinois Film Office Director Brenda Sexton and partner Suzie Glickman, produced by their company Chicago Link Productions.
The attendees are treated to a night at the movies accompanied with an enticing after party. This month, the movie of choice was an advanced showing of Disney’s “Enchanted”, the real life fairytale starring Patrick Dempsey, Amy Adams and Susan Sarandon. After the movie, guests were escorted to the Escada boutique on the Michigan mile to continue the Princess Party. After walking the hot pink carpet, they enjoyed martinis and champagne as well as a buffet of food from Chicago hotspots like Gibson’s, Quartino’s, Landmark, China Grill and a special preview of Eli’s Cheesecake’s newest “couture” cheesecakes (think flavors like Saigon Cinnamon and Burnt Caramel Flan).
The guests also had a feast for their eyes with models showing off Escada fashions. They also received gift certificates from the manager so they could shop away! The event was not all about showering the guests with gifts, however, they were all asked to bring a wrapped present to place under the Escada tree which will be donated to the Children’s Home and Aid Society of Illinois, which has worked for over 100 years at providing children of Illinois help, hope and opportunity. It was quite an enchanting evening, one that brought sparkle and fun to a great night and a great cause.
