Chicago Style: Amanda Puck
Director of Business Development: The Experiential Agency
Amanda Puck is a foodie you would love to know. A fashionable one at that. Her status on the social set in Chicago is undeniable and her style impeccable.
Not only is she the Director of Business Development for the Experiential Agency, but she also writes a monthly diary for Today's Chicago Woman focused on some of the best dining our wonderful city has to offer.
Puck is on numerous committee's including Chicago Gateway Green, the Field Museum, Steppenwolf Theater and the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau. Here we focus on her style, holiday dressing tips and what most people don't know about Ms. Puck.
Factio Magazine: What are your style tips for holiday dressing?
Amanda Puck: Keep it simple, but Sparkly – sequined jackets or scarves, tons of rhinestone pins!
FM: What key fashion pieces do you have your eye on this season?
AP: The Be and D studded leather bags form Fred Segal Tiara in Santa Monica are so hot – in purple with brown straps, the leather is like butter! Perfect with Missoni Fringe jackets, Matthem Willimason anything, pearly leather jackets and of course, fur.
FM: What’s your biggest fashion vice…What do you have to have every season? And, what did you have to have this season?
AP: I love shoes, shoes and more shoes. I had to have the YSL satin platforms in lime green and I love the Prada velvet shoes with rhinestones.
FM: What’s a fashion no-no, when attending special events, galas, and more?
AP: Knowing when to say no to that last glass of bubbly that will push you over the edge, causing you to trip and snap a pair or Blahniks!
FM: What’s your signature style?
AP: Luxe Boho Chic!
FM: Define the style in your city. Which ladies from which city worldwide do you think has or had the most impeccable style?
AP: Chicago has a style all of its own, and sometimes we get a bad rap which I don’t’ like. The fashion in Chicago is stylish and practical, since we all work really hard. We also love accessories – great shoes and bags– and coats!
I love the style of Europeans, especially woman from Italy and Spain. I love how they layer gold jewelry, great clothes in amazing hues. And I love how they eat!
FM: How fast can you get ready for an event? Any tips?
AP: At lightening speed! I often have a few minutes to throw it together, High pony and lipgloss and lots of blush.
FM: What would people be most surprised to know about you?
AP: I am addicted to Vitamin waters after a workout at HIFI Fitness in Chicago with my amazing trainer. It keeps me looking good for all these events!
